LIPU - N45° 23.8', E011° 50.9
About 3 km South-West from the center of Padova, between the Bacchiglione riverbanks, the beltway and a small inhabited area one can recognize the airport named today in memory of Lieutenant pilot Girolamo Allegri
The airfield lies at 13 m (44 ft) above sea level, it consists of a passengers terminal and two runways: the main one is 1.122 m long and 30 m wide, paved in asphalt, equipped with a low intensity night lighting (LIRL) and PAPI landing aid systems; the grass runway measures 617×30 m and is parallel to the first one.
All activities follow the IFR/VFR and the airport is open to the commercial traffic. Classified as “city airport”, this ground is one of the few that are embedded in the surrounding residential city.

HERON AIR S.R.L A SOCIO UNICO
AIR SUPPORT AND TACTICAL SERVICES
AIRPORT MANAGEMENT IN CRITICAL AREAS
Managing airports is notoriously difficult due to often poor logistics. It is precisely in these contexts that HERON AIR is able to guarantee services that go from the safety of the infrastructures to the installation of semi-prepared runways, or the reconditioning of damaged ones. The flooring can be restored or sized based on the weight of the aircraft that will operate.
HERON AIR provides for the creation or restoration of networks, radio bridges and integrated aeronautical telecommunications systems; the positioning of removable NDB, VOR or ILS and subsequent creation of instrumental arrival or departure procedures, as well as the creation of fuel depots and construction or repair of aprons and hangars.
CIVIL AND MILITARY USE
Tailored proposals, attention to detail, high quality services: everything at your fingertips while respecting the highest standards of safety and reliability.

How is the weather at the "Gino Allegri" ?
metorological office: h24 ARO CBO Milano (tel +39 02 70 143 222)
METAR and TAF: please accept the notification when the page opens
On average, the region experiences around 2,100 hours of sunshine during the year. Precipitation amounts to 865 mm, therefore within the ordinary. In February, the least rainy month, 45 mm of rain falls, compared to October when they are 95 mm.
summer
Heat can exceed 35 °C and mugginess is exacerbated by the air humidity, though a breeze comes from the sea in the afternoon. There are occasional Atlantic disturbances capable of bringing some cool weather; thunderstomms can break out in the afternoon and evening.
autumn
The season transitioning is abrupt. Cloud coverage increases very rapidly, the time the sky is overcast increases from 33% to 53%. Fog has become a rare phenomenon and forms only during periods of high Atlantic pressure.
winter
Cold, with grey skies for long periods. Temperature remains around the freezing point even during the day, especially in December and January. Snow is rare and does not exceed 5/10 cm because with the presence of the North-West winds the weather remains dry.
spring
From the second half of February the temperature tends to increase and the maximum Celsius degrees quite often exceed the number of 10. Climate is milder but remains windy, given the fact tthat the area is exposed to both the Bora and the Scirocco.
flying to LIPU
The airport is open to national and European VFR traffic.
The ATZ of Padova is classified ‘G’ and situated within the FIR of Milano.
The CTA of Padova consists of 26 zones, all “D” classified.
It is considered a Radio Mandatory Zone (RMZ). Pilots are required to mantain continuous radio contact with Padova AFIS
Vertical limitations: SFC / 1500ft AMSL
Preferential use of the runways:
1) The runway for take offs is preferably RWY 22. The runway for landings is preferably RWY 04.
2) RWY 04/22 is available for gliders flying activities.
3) The simultaneous use of the runway and the strip is not permitted.
4) RWY 04GLD/22GLD can solely be used for gliders and helicopters: RWY 04GLD – landing only / RWY 22GLD – take off only
The CTA of Padova consists of 26 zones classified as “D”, grouped in sectors. The most recent amendment was the resizing of Venice CTR and the transition of all air traffic (previously provided by Venice APP) to Padova ACC (Padova Radar frequences).
The conseguence of all this was the modification of lateral boundaries of zones 9 “Veneto”, 11 “Comacchio” and 12 “Adriatico Nord”, together with the vertical boundaries of zone 22 “Bibione”. The air space once belonging to the CTR of Venice has been partially merged into the new zone of Padova CTA: 24 “Venezia”, 25 “Venezia SW” and 26 “Delta”.
The responsible ATS body for the entire CTA of Padova is Padova ACC (radio call: Padova Radar 120.725 MHz or 134.750 MHz). However, authorizations to enter the CTA by all VFR traffic must be requested to Padova FIC on frequencies 124.150 MHz and 126.425 MHz. It is noted that frequency 118.900 MHz is available for the approaching traffic control of Venice and frequency 119.175 MHz for that of Ronchi.

requests for a PPR (Prior Permission Required)
The Prior Permission Required is a requirement for pilots and operators, often mandatory, necessary to obtain an explicit authorization from the competent authorities before condicting specific aviation activities, for instance the landing at certain airports or the use of restricted air spaces.
Among the basic regulatory mechanisms in the aviation sector, the PPR governs the access to designated air spaces and airports, thus contributing to safety and an efficient management of all flight operations. All involved operators must give priority to the compliance with such requirements, hence promoting adeguate planning, communication, and optimize the operative result.
