Description
The aircraft was announced by the manufacturer in 1983 as a replacement for the old F28. The main difference between the two aircraft was the longer fuselage, with a relative increase in seating capacity. Low operational costs and the absence of competition in the “100-seat short-range” class contributed to the success of the Fokker 100 in the late 1980s.
