Blu

In her pictorial work, Maristella Martellato chooses the moment when the individual is most individual, that is when he is naked, discovered and therefore alive. To respect its essence and desire, she makes it finally hover free and weightless in the blue of the air and the blue of the water.
However, as an artist she also knows that to have the blue (to have the blues) means to go through melancholy and retreating phases, just as the musical genre Blues reminds us.
Thus, Blue is a magical color that can contain and even express different existential phases, which can nevertheless alternate and cancel each other out. But while both experiences can take one's breath away, what really matters for the visitors is discovering through shapes and colors that he or she can detach the shadow from the ground, and regain possession of the beneficial powers of BLUE.

Maristella Martellato was born in Stra (Venice) where she lives and works. She attended art schools. Passionate about art in all its forms, specifically painting, she experiments and creates using ancient techniques.
A fundamental element represented in Maristella's works is the human body, inserted in the various vital elements such as water, earth, fire, air and the resumption of the ancient that lives in the present.
Numerous are the exhibitions on the national territory, reaping with success satisfaction and awards.
