Where the heart meets the mountains

Books at high altitude

The day saw the joint presentation of the books “I riflessi della montagna parlano di me” (The reflections of the mountains speak of me) by Katia Voltolina and “La Pèca del Diavolo” (The Devil's Pèca) by Wild Tors, two works that intertwine emotion, nature, and personal introspection, offering a profound journey into the bond between human beings and the mountain landscape.
The meeting, led by Luisa Alchini, president of the International Center for Talking Books (C.I.L.P.), was attended by numerous guests from the world of art and culture:
Stefania Baccarin, dance therapist of the Maria Fux method
Eros Zecchini and Antonella Dal Lago, volunteer readers at C.I.L.P.
Raffaella Boscolo, photographer
Italo De Gol, sculptor
Filippo Pescarolo, musician

The mountain reflections speak of me.

“The book recounts my passion for the mountains and my encounters with wild animals. The change that the mountains invited me to make. A journey within myself to overcome my fears, such as fighting vertigo. Each time, the desire to push myself higher and higher, to overcome fear by working on my mind.” - Katia Voltolina

The Devil’s Pèca.

La ‘Pèca’ del Diavolo (The Devil's ‘Pèca’) is a journey into local traditions and secrets kept for generations, narrated with the rough but sincere voice of someone who has experienced every aspect of mountain life. A novel about men and women, challenges and hopes, and the unbreakable bond between the human soul and wild nature.
